Razzy Gabby Got Hitched!
A few weeks ago, our very own Razzy Gabby got married and The Jam Stand got to be a part of the special occasion!
Gabriela Filasky is our good friend from college. She is the reason that our raspberry jalapeño jam exists. Hence the name Razzy Gabby & a Side of Jalapeño.
She met her now husband in 2006 while on a study abroad trip in Madrid. As the maid of honor said quite nicely, “If...

Studio Visit: The Jam Stand
fab:
Get ready to jam.
We foodies at Fab have our own version of Linsanity. When we discovered The Jam Stand, we were instantly sweet on innovative flavors like the Drunken Monkey, made with sugared bananas, rum and a splash of lime. Yum!
Then things got better. We realized their site was jam-packed with jamtastic puns, and we boiled over with excitement. After an email jammed with exclamation...

The Jam Stand: Now in Stores
Hey Jam Fans,
Happy 2012! We definitely had a hectic 2011 holiday season so it feels good to take a breather and restore some order to our Jammin’ world. In December, we were ALL OVER Brooklyn and Manhattan— from Park Here and Bust Craftacular in the city to the Brooklyn Night Bazaar and Brooklyn Craft Central. Getting to the point, we SOLD OUT of basically everything! Hopefully, we...

Summer is gone, but Fall is so pretty!
Our salsa friend and dedicated Jam Fan, Ryan, decided that it was time to hop on the Jam Brunch train and host his very first Jam Pairing Meal. His requirements were simple. He wanted a delicious menu in the theme of “Summer is gone, but Fall is so pretty.”
As the clock hit 11am on a sleepy Saturday, not quite Fall, not quite Summer, afternoon an intimate crowd of Ryan’s...

Jam Out with the Brown Bag Challenge
We were pretty stoked when we found out that Small Kitchen College was hosting a Brown Bag Lunch Challenge this week.
As constant brown bag users we thought it would be a wonderful way to share our lunch packing knowledge.
All office cubiclers know that eating out for lunch everyday is PRICEY! So this week, why not save some $$, turn off those hot stoves, enjoy the outdoor Summer weather and...

Grady's Farm
Welcome to the glorious, glorious farm life.
This past Tuesday we had the pleasure of visiting our good friend Michael out at his farm in Red Hook, New York.
We piled into Betty, our trusty car, picked up some good friends and were on our 2 1/2 hour way. Becca, our market neighbor and maker of delicious Dank Cakeballs, and Bianca, Sabrina’s roomie, were also jonesing to get out of...

The Jam Stand goes to Jersey and hosts a Jam Pairing Brunch.
I know that we always say this, but we whole-heartedly loooovvveee these things! Family and friends gathered together on a lovely Sunday afternoon to reunite, get boozy and enjoy nature’s best! What more is there?
We were lucky to have the Schlumpf family accept us into their beautiful home! After years of living in the city it...

WOW WOW WOW!
Where do we even begin?
We are in love. In love with jam. In love with Artists and Fleas. In love with the vendors. In love with the amazing people we met on the street. Mostly, we are in love with our Jam Fans.
Hahaha wow I just thanked the fans, perhaps that will be our speech when we win a foodie award!

This week’s ConfessJam: Jameson
This week’s ConfessJam highlights my 3 year old nephew. What better way to brighten your day than with a child’s laughter??? If you don’t like this video, then you don’t have a heart!
Lamb Gyro Sausages
A few weeks back we had a wonderful meeting with the folks at The Brooklyn Kitchen. If you haven’t been to their space, you are missing out! It is amazing in there and the open butcher area fills the room with the glorious aroma of meat. After speaking with the owner, we found out that they host a pre fixe brunch that goes for as many courses as you can eat. The catch - it only seats 2...
Jam Stand Caters a Jam Pairing Dinner!
Last week, The Jam Stand catered a Jam Pairing/Going Away dinner hosted by Kris Sedeño.
The dinner was JAMTASTIC!
1st Course: Warm Brie served with a trifecta of jam - Pineapple Cilantro Jam, Raspberry Jalapeño Jam & last but never least, Bacon Jam.
2nd Course: Arugula & spring mix salad with toasted walnuts & gorgonzola cheese, tossed in Raspberry Jalapeño Jam.
3rd Course: Whole...
Pineapple Express: Starring James Cilantro
At the request of our good friend, Mr. Brendan Skonieczny, we made pineapple cilantro jam. The natural sweetness of the fruit paired with the freshness of the herb combine to form a pure syrupy delight.
We know that cilantro is one of those tricky herbs that people either LOVE or HATE. We err strongly on the side of love! Perhaps a little too much. As a child, I would eat cilantro right off of...

SURPRISE!
The Jam Stand and friends had a wonderful surprise this past weekend!
Our good friend from college, the one and only Miss Ashley Strid, popped in for a visit. She was met with yells of joy and smothering love as she entered the Jam Stand HQ unannounced. Some worked harder to keep the secret than others… ah hem, Natalie..
With all boys out of the picture, minus a lovely Jarp, we had a...
Mas Manazas Pear-Favor (with some roasted chicken)
We like to consider ourselves connoisseurs of jam, but find that we have many other passions. One of which is conceptualizing and cooking robust meals for family and friends. Upon moving to New York we quickly put together a weekly “family” dinner. In a big city, where one can easily be caught up with the busyness of their lives, it is important to keep close friends, and what better...
Meet our Jam-ccountant!
Who said you can’t be productive on a rainy day!? A few weekends back, during the tumultuous NYC rainstorm, we had a brunchtastic meeting to handle some J + S expenses with a little help from our “Jam-ccountant” Mr. Kristian Sedeño.
He’s a big Jam Stand fan!
We’ve got our accounts in order and are ready to get our JAM ON!
Thanks Kris!
Last Week's Jam Sesh
Last Tuesday The Jam Stand got together for a mid-week Brooklyn Jam Sesh. We made new batches of Razzy Gabby & a side of Jalapeño (we are selling out like wildfire) and created a new flavor, más manzanas PEAR-favor (more apples please.)
After some discussion we decided that this week’s creation should be healthy, prompting us to make a butter. I know, I know… A lot of people out...
The Jam Stand has t-shirts!
Our good friend and esteemed screen printer, Mr. Jerzy Shustin, made The Jam Stand’s first official T’s. We couldn’t be more excited!!

Sweet Treats by The Jam Stand
We really enjoy baking, and what baked good is more classic than homemade chocolate chip cookies?
While we love and appreciate all original recipes and ideas, we can’t resist putting our own little spin on things…
After making massive amounts of our Bacon Jam we were left with an overwhelming excess of bacon grease. While others might find grease to be repulsive, we saw this as a...

A Birthday, A BBQ and Some Bacon Jam
This past weekend I was fortunate enough to fly back to my homeland of Florida for my brother’s birthday. It was the first time in a few years that I actually had to check my bag, as I usually carry on. I managed to bring roughly 30 jars of jam and barely got by at 52 pounds. Watch out Florida - - The Jam Stand is going tropical!!
The weather was absolutely beautiful and I was so excited...
